About Mike Wine
Mike Wine started teaching golf in Denver, Colorado 35 years ago. He quickly became one of the most successful teachers in Colorado, combining his quirky sense of humor with his passion for golf.

Wine became something of a "touring teaching pro", and began a golf odyssey that stretched from the seaside cliffs of Torrey Pines Golf Course in California to the sunny skies of PGA National Golf Club in Florida.

During his travels, Wine learned from the top instructors in the country. He worked with LPGA Hall of Famer Penny Zavichas at Tucson National Golf Club, brain-game guru Chuck Hogan in Scottsdale, and Dr. T.J. Tomasi in Colorado, Arizona, and Florida. Tomasi, a Top 100 Teacher and leader of the PGA Learning Center, has been Wine's most influential mentor.

Wine has been nominated twice for GOLF Magazine's Top 100 Teachers, and was twice selected as a GOLF Magazine Top Regional Teacher. He has also been nominated for GOLF DIGEST's Top Teachers, and has appeared on The Golf Channel's Golf Academy Live.

Students seeking more distance will enjoy working with Wine. Sometime in the 90's, Wine won the National Long Drive Colorado Qualifying event, and researched distance in golf. He has many tips to help players of all levels maximize their yardage.

Some of Wine's successful students:

Shelley Anderson
— World Record of 59 to win Clarksville City Women's Championship
Randy McCracken — Champion, PGA National Assistant Professional Championship
Gary Rusnak — three course records of 62, 63, 63 after sessions with Wine
Joel Velasco — qualified for several Senior PGA Tour events

Wine is the proud father of Tyler Wine, who is already a fine player. Tiger, look out. There is a new "TW" in town.
